How come humans are the only creatures to continuously grow hair?

think about it...our hair never stops growing...we eventually have to cut it...but everything else has a hair ceiling...like a polar bear...its hair is ALWAYS one size...never bigger never smaller..if u were to cut a patch off it would grow back to the same size as it was...and stop growing...Why do humans hair continue to grow and other creatures hair dont?

Hair does not stop growing on any mammal. It just falls out after it reaches a certain length.

Well, we to have a hair ceiling. The thing is we cut our hair so it has to grow back as protection, if you let it grow out, it will stop like grass. If you didnt cut it it would get tall but would stop growing

If a polar bear would shave a few times, he could top the "ceiling". A human who doesn't shave can't top the ceiling either.

Don't ask my old man.........He's bald and can get very upset.

other animals lose and regrow hair but not at the same rate as humans- some dogs shed hair during the winter from a special winter coat, birds lose feather/molting and grow new ones, even wooley mammoths shedded hair with an extra course hair coat.sheep and rabbits regrow hair that supports an fabric industry.
