You can use curlers. You dont neccessarily need the heat all the time. If you're curling the weave with your own hair then you may not want to set your own hair up 2 break off.

No, its not but with ceramic curlers it heats the hair evenly and you don't have the burn and you dont have to use high heat. This may only be me but the hair stays silky and soft.
