some human hair extensions are actually made by machines. if you ever buy a pack of human hair on a track you can sometimes see little strands of plastic or thread with the hair because of it being made by a machine. i think the "human hair" is just made to be like human hair meaning you can wash, curl, blow dry, comb, and brush the hair, but that hair thats like $1200 is most likely really human hair donated or what not.

Bread is yeast risen. Human hair has lots of buggies that could culture out and spoil the yeast strains used in bread, so instead of USING human hair, the companies that bake bread go to EXTREME LENGTHS to not allow contaniments in the yeast strains they use.

My personal opinion, grow it out. I don't want to sound like the crabby mother or anything, but getting real human hair extensions is stupid. Now, getting extensions out of synthetic, thats ok. It looks just as great, and you can go to greatlengths.com (I think thats right).

Think of it this way.. hair extensions made of synthetic hair can give you temporary long hair...hair extensions made of real human hair, can be used to make a wig for a child with lukeimia going through chemotherapy.

Stay with synthetic, leave the real hair for those who NEED it.
